– Media Buy Strategist and Traffic Coordinator
Mike Danbury or "Mike D." (as he is fondly referred to here at the bee hive) joins the buzzing bees at OJC as Media Buy Strategist and Traffic Coordinator. Mike comes to OpenJar with over (12) years in media ad sales, buying, and client accounting. Mike has a wide range of experience in long and short form Direct Response television advertising with a specific focus in broadcast and cable inventory management.
Mike started his career at Telerep-LA, as an assistant on the spot/general market sales side. A year and a half later, Mike D. was promoted to the position of Account Executive selling paid/infomercial time, short form direct response, and a hand full of general market/spot sales accounts. Putting four years on the sales side with Telerep under his belt, Mike decided to sharpen his skills on the buying side of the business at Longform Media. Mike purchased and managed client media acquisition for more than half the agency's half-hour business, all of the short form, direct response business as well as several functions in accounting contributing various Client Services duties.
In 2011, Mike D. began contributing to the team while developing direct response projects for both cable and broadcast as well as adding a new level of support to Client Services. His responsibilities include but are not limited to initial buy planning, creating and submitting proposals, test placements, traffic and distribution, account reconciliations, managing buys/logs/responses and so much more. Much like most of the team at OJC. Mike wears several hats and lends a helping hand where ever needed.
